Helsper, E. (2021). The digital disconnect: The social causes and consequences of digital inequalities. Sage.
Soyoof, A., Reynolds, B. L., Neumann, M., Scull, J., Tour, E., & McLay, K. (2023). The impact of parent mediation on young children's home digital literacy practices and learning: A narrative review. Journal of computer assisted learning. https://doi.org/10.1111/jcal.12866
Scherer, R., & Siddiq, F. (2019). The relation between students’ socioeconomic status and ICT literacy: Findings from a meta-analysis. Computers & Education, 138, 13-32. https://doi.org/10.1016/j.compedu.2019.04.011
Bulger, M. E., Mayer, R. E., & Metzger, M. J. (2014). Knowledge and processes that predict proficiency in digital literacy. Reading and Writing, 27(9), 1567–1583. https://doi.org/10.1007/s11145-014-9507-2
Firth, J., Torous, J., Stubbs, B., Firth, J. A., Steiner, G. Z., Smith, L., Alvarez-Jimenez, M., Gleeson, J., Vancampfort, D., Armitage, C. J., & Sarris, J. (2019). The “online brain”: How the Internet may be changing our cognition. World Psychiatry, 18(2), 119-129. https://doi.org/10.1002/wps.20617
Montag, C., Lachmann, B., Herrlich, M., & Zweig, K. (2019). Addictive Features of Social Media/Messenger Platforms and Freemium Games against the Background of Psychological and Economic Theories.
Hartford, A., & Stein, D. J. (2022). Attentional Harms and Digital Inequalities. JMIR mental health, 9(2), e30838. https://doi.org/10.2196/30838

(Cyber) Bullying in schools–when bullying stretches across cON/FFlating spaces. Children's Geographies, 19(2), 241-253. https://doi.org/10.1080/14733285.2020.1784850

Schüller-Zwierlein, A., Mangen, A., Kovač, M., & van der Weel, A. (2022). Why higher-level reading is important. First Monday*, 27*(5). https://doi.org/10.5210/fm.v27i5.12770
Lazonder, A. W., Walraven, A., Gijlers, H., & Janssen, N. (2020). Longitudinal assessment of digital literacy in children: Findings from a large Dutch single-school study. Computers & Education, 143. https://doi.org/10.1016/j.compedu.2019.103681

Delgado, P., Vargas, C., Ackerman, R., & Salmerón, L. (2018). Don't throw away your printed books: A meta-analysis on the effects of reading media on reading comprehension. Educational research review, 25, 23-38. https://doi.org/10.1016/j.edurev.2018.09.003

Wolf, M. (2018). Reader, come home: The reading brain in a digital world (First edition). Harper.
Delgado, P., Vargas, C., Ackerman, R., & Salmerón, L. (2018). Don't throw away your printed books: A meta-analysis on the effects of reading media on reading comprehension. Educational research review, 25, 23-38. https://doi.org/10.1016/j.edurev.2018.09.003
Delgado, P., Vargas, C., Ackerman, R., & Salmerón, L. (2018). Don't throw away your printed books: A meta-analysis on the effects of reading media on reading comprehension. Educational research review, 25, 23-38. https://doi.org/10.1016/j.edurev.2018.09.003

Van Koeven, E. & Smits, A. (2023). Rijke taal (v)mbo. Boom.
Hu, J., Peng, Y., & Chen, X. (2023). Decoding contextual factors differentiating adolescents' high, average and low digital reading performance through machine learning methods. IEEE Transactions on Learning Technologies*,* 16(4), 516–527. https://doi.org/10.1109/tlt.2023.3281056

Elleman, A. M., & Compton, D. L. (2017). Beyond Comprehension Strategy Instruction: What's Next?

Swart, N. M., Gubbels, J., in ‘t Zandt, M., Wolbers, M. H. J., & Segers, E. (2023).
Van Koeven, E. & Smits, A. (2020). Rijke taal. Taaldidactiek voor het basisonderwijs. Boom.

Senkbeil, M. (2021). ICT-related variables as predictors of ICT literacy beyond intelligence and prior achievement. Education and Information Technologies, 27(3), 3595-3622. https://doi.org/10.1007/s10639-021-10759-x
Wat betreft de gebruiksmotieven, onderscheidt Senkbeil
Senkbeil, M. (2021). ICT-related variables as predictors of ICT literacy beyond intelligence and prior achievement. Education and Information Technologies, 27(3), 3595-3622. https://doi.org/10.1007/s10639-021-10759-x
Compeau, D. R., & Higgins, C. A. (1995). Computer self-efficacy: development of a measure and initial test.
Senkbeil, M., & Ihme, J. M. (2017). Motivational factors predicting ICT literacy: First evidence on the structure of an ICT motivation inventory. Computers & Education, 108, 145-158. https://doi.org/10.1016/j.compedu.2017.02.003
Hatlevik, O. E., Ottestad, G., & Throndsen, I. (2014). Predictors of digital competence in 7th grade: a multilevel analysis. Journal of Computer Assisted Learning, 31(3), 220-231. https://doi.org/10.1111/jcal.12065
Senkbeil, M. (2021). ICT-related variables as predictors of ICT literacy beyond intelligence and prior achievement. Education and Information Technologies, 27(3), 3595-3622. https://doi.org/10.1007/s10639-021-10759-x
Hatlevik, O. E., Ottestad, G., & Throndsen, I. (2014). Predictors of digital competence in 7th grade: a multilevel analysis. Journal of Computer Assisted Learning, 31(3), 220-231. https://doi.org/10.1111/jcal.12065
en daarmee tot meer ICT-basisvaardigheden
Christoph, G., Goldhammer, F., Zylka, J., & Hartig, J. (2015). Adolescents’ computer performance: The role of self-concept and motivational aspects. Computers & Education, 81, 1-12. https://doi.org/10.1016/j.compedu.2014.09.00
Hatlevik, O. E., Ottestad, G., & Throndsen, I. (2014). Predictors of digital competence in 7th grade: a multilevel analysis. Journal of Computer Assisted Learning, 31(3), 220-231. https://doi.org/10.1111/jcal.12065
Tian, L., Yu, T., & Huebner, E. S. (2017). Achievement Goal Orientations and Adolescents’ Subjective Well-Being in School: The Mediating Roles of Academic Social Comparison Directions. Frontiers in Psychology, 8, 37. https://doi.org/10.3389/fpsyg.2017.00037
Filippello, P., Buzzai, C., Costa, S., Orecchio, S., & Sorrenti, L. (2019). Teaching style and academic achievement: The mediating role of learned helplessness and mastery orientation. Psychology in the Schools, 57(1), 5-16. https://doi.org/10.1002/pits.22315
Hatlevik, O. E., Ottestad, G., & Throndsen, I. (2014). Predictors of digital competence in 7th grade: a multilevel analysis. Journal of Computer Assisted Learning, 31(3), 220-231. https://doi.org/10.1111/jcal.12065
Hatlevik, O. E., Ottestad, G., & Throndsen, I. (2014). Predictors of digital competence in 7th grade: a multilevel analysis. Journal of Computer Assisted Learning, 31(3), 220-231. https://doi.org/10.1111/jcal.12065
Senkbeil, M. (2021). ICT-related variables as predictors of ICT literacy beyond intelligence and prior achievement. Education and Information Technologies, 27(3), 3595-3622. https://doi.org/10.1007/s10639-021-10759-x
Senkbeil, M. (2021). ICT-related variables as predictors of ICT literacy beyond intelligence and prior achievement. Education and Information Technologies, 27(3), 3595-3622. https://doi.org/10.1007/s10639-021-10759-x
Christoph, G., Goldhammer, F., Zylka, J., & Hartig, J. (2015). Adolescents’ computer performance: The role of self-concept and motivational aspects. Computers & Education, 81, 1-12. https://doi.org/10.1016/j.compedu.2014.09.00
Senkbeil, M. (2021). ICT-related variables as predictors of ICT literacy beyond intelligence and prior achievement. Education and Information Technologies, 27(3), 3595-3622. https://doi.org/10.1007/s10639-021-10759-x
Gómez-Fernández, N., & Mediavilla, M. (2021). Exploring the relationship between Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) and academic performance: A multilevel analysis for Spain. Socio-Economic Planning Sciences, 77. https://doi.org/10.1016/j.seps.2021.101009
Senkbeil, M. (2021). ICT-related variables as predictors of ICT literacy beyond intelligence and prior achievement. Education and Information Technologies, 27(3), 3595-3622. https://doi.org/10.1007/s10639-021-10759-x
Senkbeil, M., & Ihme, J. M. (2017). Motivational factors predicting ICT literacy: First evidence on the structure of an ICT motivation inventory. Computers & Education, 108, 145-158. https://doi.org/10.1016/j.compedu.2017.02.003
Senkbeil, M., & Ihme, J. M. (2017). Motivational factors predicting ICT literacy: First evidence on the structure of an ICT motivation inventory. Computers & Education, 108, 145-158. https://doi.org/10.1016/j.compedu.2017.02.003
Montag, C., Lachmann, B., Herrlich, M., & Zweig, K. (2019). Addictive Features of Social Media/Messenger Platforms and Freemium Games against the Background of Psychological and Economic Theories. International Journal of Environmental Research and Public Health, 16(14). https://doi.org/10.3390/ijerph16142612
Ryan, R. M., & Deci, E. L. (2017). Self-determination theory. The Guilford Press.

Gee, J. P. (2017). Teaching, learning, literacy in our high-risk high-tech world: A framework for becoming human. Teachers College Press. https://doi.org/10.21432/cjlt27939
Salac, J., Landesman, R., Druga, S., & Ko, A. J. (2023). Scaffolding Children’s Sensemaking around Algorithmic Fairness. In Proceedings of the 22nd Annual ACM Interaction Design and Children Conference (pp. 137-149).
Mogelijke aanleidingen voor deze gesprekken zijn:
- Ervaringen van leerlingen in de digitale wereld, op school en thuis. Dit kan bijvoorbeeld gaan om ervaringen met de educatieve software die in de klas gebruikt wordt, ervaringen tijdens (gezamenlijke) zoekacties op internet, en ook om ervaringen met sociale media en games;
- Voorgelezen boeken over de digitale wereld, deze zijn beschikbaar voor de basisschool en voor het voortgezet onderwijs;
- Krantenartikelen over ICT voorlezen.
Implications for social impact of dialogic teaching and learning. Frontiers in psychology, 11. https://doi.org/10.3389/fpsyg.2020.00140

Kral, M., van Loon, A. M., Gorissen, P., & Uerz, D. (2019). Leidinggeven aan onderwijsinnovatie met ict. Sturen op beweging. Pica.
Hu, J., & Wang, Y. (2022). Influence of students’ perceptions of instruction quality on their digital reading performance in 29 OECD countries: A multilevel analysis. Computers & Education, 189. https://doi.org/10.1016/j.compedu.2022.104591
OECD (2021). 21st-century readers: Developing literacy skills in a digital world. OECD. https://doi.org/10.1787/a83d84cb-en
Saarinen, A., Lipsanen, J.,Hintsanen, M, Huotilainen, M.& Keltikangas-Järvinen, L. (2021). The Use of Digital Technologies at School and Cognitive Learning Outcomes: A Population-Based Study in Finland International Journal of Educational Psychology, 10(1), 1-26. https://doi.org/10.17583/ijep.2021.4667

Juuti, K., Kervinen, A., & Loukomies, A. (2022). Quality over frequency in using digital technology: Measuring the experienced functional use. Computers & Education, 176, 104361. https://doi.org/10.1016/j.compedu.2021.104361

OECD (2021). 21st-century readers: Developing literacy skills in a digital world. OECD. https://doi.org/10.1787/a83d84cb-en
Is the use of ICT in education leading to higher student outcomes? Analysis from the Spanish Autonomous Communities. Computers & Education, 157. https://doi.org/10.1016/j.compedu.2020.103969

Blikstad-Balas, M., & Klette, K. (2020). Still a long way to go: Narrow and transmissive use of technology in the classroom. Nordic Journal of Digital Literacy, 15(1), 55-68. https://doi.org/10.18261/issn.1891-943x-2020-01-05

Fraillon, J., Ainley, J., Schulz, W., Friedman, T., & Duckworth, D. (2020). Preparing for life in a digital world: IEA international computer and information literacy study 2018 international report (p. 297). Springer Nature. https://www.iea.nl/sites/default/files/2019-11/ICILS%202019%20Digital%20final%2004112019.pdf
OECD (2021). 21st-century readers: Developing literacy skills in a digital world. OECD. https://doi.org/10.1787/a83d84cb-en

Is the use of ICT in education leading to higher student outcomes? Analysis from the Spanish Autonomous Communities. Computers & Education, 157. https://doi.org/10.1016/j.compedu.2020.103969

Is the use of ICT in education leading to higher student outcomes? Analysis from the Spanish Autonomous Communities. Computers & Education, 157. https://doi.org/10.1016/j.compedu.2020.103969
Steffens, K. (2014). ICT use and achievement in three European countries: what does PISA tell us? European Educational Research Journal, 13, 553–562. https://doi.org/10.2304/eerj.2014.13.5.553
Falck, O., Mang, C., & Woessman, L. (2018). Virtually No Effect? Different Uses of Classroom Computers and their Effect on Student Achievement. Virtually No Effect? Different Uses of classroom computers and their effect on student achievement, 81(1), 0305-9049. https://doi.org/10.1111/obes.12192

Vazquez-Lopez, V., & Huerta-Manzanilla, E. L. (2021). Factors related with underperformance in reading proficiency, the case of the programme for international student assessment 2018.
